Apprenticeships

content

Our apprenticeship programmes offer a range of high quality work-based opportunities and nationally recognised qualifications right through from the senior phase of school to honours degrees.

Designed by industry, for industry, and delivered in a way that is flexible to meet your business needs, apprenticeships enable you to strengthen and upskill your existing staff and recruit and develop new talent.

For the apprentice it is a chance to gain skills and experience alongside the experts within their chosen industry, increasing effectiveness and boosting career progression potential.

Our Modern and Graduate Apprenticeships are available to people aged 16 or over in employment, and are based on partnerships between the university and our employer partners to ensure relevant knowledge, skills and experience is provided in a way that meets both our apprentices' and employers' needs.

Foundation Apprenticeships form part of our senior phase school programmes. Providing the same level of learning as a Higher, they are both academically challenging and vocationally comprehensive. We work closely with local employers to provide real work experience and industry input, ensuring young people gain a valuable first step into the workplace, and giving employers an early opportunity to support their local community and spot the next generation of local talent for their future workforce.

We have the exceptional teaching facilities and employer partnerships to help apprentices learn both the academic and vocational skills required to be successful in their chosen industry. Our breadth of provision and expertise means we can provide access to apprenticeships, further training and development support across a wide range of sectors and subject areas.

We deliver these apprenticeships across the region through our academic partners.
