Optometrist

Do you want to hear about a fantastic career which will use your STEM skills to the full?

If you are in S4, S5 or S6 you can join Specsavers live on Tuesday 2 November between 4pm and 5pm for a 30-min careers in optometry digital workshop to:

  • hear from students taking optometry at university and from newly qualified optometrists
  • see inspiring short films
  • hear about a day in the life of an optometrist - what do they actually do?
  • discover the exciting benefits and global opportunities in optometry
  • experience what certain eye conditions look and feel like
  • get practical advice on next steps, work experience and sponsorship opportunities
  • ask questions through a live Q&A
  • receive electronic copies of leaflets after the event

Pupils taking part in the hands-on element will need to download the free vision simulation app called 'Via Opta Sim'

Once you have registered your interest you will receive an invite with a link to join the session via Google Classroom (meets), and information on how to get the most out of the session.
