Scott Rhynas

Director of Finance

Scott serves as UHI's Director of Finance, providing strategic and professional leadership to the finance directorate. He is responsible for ensuring that all financial operations are managed efficiently and effectively, in alignment with best practices, sector standards and regulatory requirements. The finance directorate delivers a comprehensive range of corporate services to the university and its academic partners, while also overseeing all regulatory and compliance-related financial matters.

Before joining UHI in 2009, Scott built his career in the manufacturing sector, where he held several senior finance roles. His work primarily focused on developing financial and performance management strategies to drive organisational success.

Scott holds a BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies from Robert Gordon University and a postgraduate diploma in secondary education.
