Biography

Prof Alexandra Sanmark has a strong research interest in iron age and medieval Scandinavia, in particular the Viking Age and the Viking expansion in the west.  She has also led research projects focusing on early medieval Scotland. Another area of interest is cultural heritage tourism in areas as diverse as scotland and the south pacific island nations.
