Environmental Interactions of Marine Renewables 2020
Led by the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) with Heriot Watt University (HWU), Environmental Interactions of Marine Renewables (EIMR) is an international conference hosted at different sites across the Scottish Highlands and Islands region. The conference series explores the interactions of marine renewable energy technologies with the environment.
The Environmental Interactions of Marine Renewables conference (EIMR) 2020: April 21st-23rd 2020
Whilst we had to postpone our face-to-face EIMR conference, we were delighted to hold the conference online, giving us possibly a greater chance to reach the global community. The programme is available for reference following the conference and is introduced below by Prof. Ben Wilson, Chair of the EIMR2020 Scientific Advisory Committee.
There were nine topic sessions, each containing a set of digital presentations and abstracts:
- Session 1: Tools to assist consenting/access to evidence
- Session 2: Novel Monitoring Techniques
- Session 3: Presence and behaviour around devices
- Session 4: Presence and behaviour around devices / Novel monitoring techniques
- Session 5: Marine policy and society
- Session 6: Tools to assist consenting/access to evidence and Marine Policy and Society
- Session 7: Far field/cumulative effects
- Session 8: Explaining biology with physics
- Session 9: Artificial reef and biofouling communities
The programme was available online for two weeks after 23rd April, afterwhich the content was removed.
