UHI Argyll Higher Education Student of the Year 2023, Runner Up – Paula Loughery
Third year student Paula Loughery, who is due to graduate this year with a BA in Culture and Heritage, has been named as the runner up in UHI Argyll’s Higher Education Student of the Year Awards 2023.
We are delighted that one of our students on the Institute for Northern Studies undergraduate Culture & Heritage course has come runner up in UHI Argyll's Higher Education Student of the Year 2023. Nominated by her lecturer at the Institute for Northern Studies, Dr Oisín Plumb, Paula has been recognised for the award having faced personal challenges throughout her studies.
Paula has achieved outstanding results and has demonstrated great expertise in all the subjects she has studied. She always finds fascinating avenues of research, allowing her own particular interests and creativity to shine through within her work. This is all the more impressive given that Paula, like many students, initially found the process of academic writing challenging. The consistently high standard of work produced by this student demonstrates the strength of her dedication and achievement.
