Highlands and Islands STEM Partnership

content

The Highland and Islands STEM Partnership (HISP) is a strategic collaborative group that advises on, supports, and promotes science, technology, engineering and maths education opportunities from our partners across the UHI region. It was created as one of 13 regional partnerships following the publication of the Scottish Government STEM strategy (2017).

The partnership will champion excellent STEM learning and teaching and other engagement opportunities, from early years, through primary and secondary schools, to further and higher education and beyond. It will support planning to ensure that all learners across UHI regions are given the opportunity to follow STEM pathways, with a clear focus on equalities and the challenges of rural and remote learning.
