Judy Potter was praised by her lecturers for juggling the demands of bringing up a young child with full-time study to gain exceptional academic results and personal achievement.
Child and Youth Studies lecturers Mei-Li Roberts and Lesley Connaghan explained: “Judy is a prime example of the excellent student that UHI can produce. She would not typically have accessed university being a working mother, however was able to progress via work-based qualifications to gaining a first-class Honours degree.
“Now she has completed her degree, Judy has been accepted onto the postgraduate Msc Social Work at the University of Dundee and we look forward to following her progression in her chosen career.”
Judy added: “I am absolutely thrilled and honoured to receive this award from Perth College UHI. The flexibility of the online learning experience, as well as the continued support and encouragement from my tutors, family, friends and fellow students, has helped me reach this success and achieve more than I ever thought I could.”
