"I travelled up to Fort William every year to watch the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup and ride bikes at the weekends. Once I found out that there was an Adventure Tourism Management degree I moved to study at the West Highland College UHI campus and simultaneously started up my own freelance mountain bike guide business…The area surrounding the college was the main driving factor for me if I am honest, it was a bonus that I could gain an honours degree while living here."

"I’ve had an excellent experience as a student at Inverness College UHI. I’ve been able to pursue my interest in sports and coaching without having to move away to study. I’ve also been presented with many opportunities to develop other important life skills."

"Royal Dornoch has such a rich history in the landscape of golf, but it also has a legacy in the development of the game, shaping both the next generation of golfers and designers. I fully support the University of the Highlands and Islands, in association with Royal Dornoch, in their efforts to provide education within the golf industry and beyond. I hope you will agree it is in the best interest of the future of this great game."
