Mentoring cycle
It is expected that a mentoring relationship will last between 6 months to 1 year, and have well-defined objectives. At the end of the agreed period, the mentor and mentee should review the objectives and may decide that further mentoring would be beneficial.

Debbie started working in the Learning and Teaching Academy in 2021 on a part time secondment. Find out more about her role.
Debbie’s interest in mentoring began when she mentored colleagues to gain fellowship of the Higher Education Academy from Advance HE, via ALPINE, through the Professional Recognition strand of the University’s mentoring scheme. She is also registered as both a mentor and mentee on the Learning Teaching and Enhancement strand of the University’s mentoring scheme.
