Learning and Teaching Academy
The Learning and Teaching Academy is the university's directorate and central hub for leading the strategic enhancement of and innovation in learning and teaching, and associated practices and processes, across the UHI partnership. This includes:
- Strategic development and implementation of the UHI Learning and Teaching Enhancement Strategy, and associated strategic initiatives.
- Development and management of the university's quality assurance and enhancement policies, processes and activities.
- Design and delivery of staff-facing professional development opportunities in learning, teaching and associated academic practices.
- Curriculum development and innovation including programme approval and reapproval.
- Engagement in and the development of educational scholarship, research and evidence-based practice.
- Facilitating collaborative working across the partnership to share, shape and enhance good and innovative practice in learning and teaching.
The work of the directorate is mainly organised across the two main functional areas of Academic Practice Development and Academic Standards and Enhancement.
