LIS support

Key services and systems used to support Learning and Teaching are all accessible from outside of the university.

Staff should report any problems via the Servicedesk, preferably using the self-service forms on Unidesk or Live Chat. Calls will be registered and handled on a priority basis. Staff should not contact LIS staff members directly as they may not be available or able to respond to their query.

Critical information (e.g. how to access services, different telephone numbers) will be sent via university emails and/or posted on this site.

LTA support

In addition to the specific guidance for remote teaching, members of the LTA remain available and happy to help with any queries that colleagues might have about teaching or student support during these challenging times. Please also contact us with any queries or concerns you have regarding your own current engagement with LTA initiatives and opportunities during the coming weeks and months (e.g. ALPINE applications, SD1 funding, Mentoring commitments, current LTA Scholarship projects). We will be flexible and accommodating wherever possible.

Please do reach out to us for a telephone or Skype chat, or email exchange. Email the LTA inbox

EDU support

The EDU will continue to support colleagues with unit/module design, development of interactive learning resources (including audio, video, simulations, 3D modelling) and use of Brightspace tools. During this challenging period we will endeavour to react as quickly as possible to all requests from teaching staff, whether a quick question or a resource development request. If you are new to teaching remotely don't hesitate to get in touch.
