Discretionary funds are there to support students who have accessed all funding available to them and who are still in legitimate hardship. Funding will be prioritised to support students with rent, electricity, heating, and a loss of income due to Covid-19.

Yes, students will continue to receive all student support funding (except travel costs) when self-isolating in accordance with NHS Scotland inform COVID-19 guidance.

Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) encourage all students to apply as soon as possible. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic all SAAS staff are working from home therefore it may take a bit longer

If you have been awarded SAAS funding and wish to view your award notice, log into your SAAS account on the SAAS website and look in the ‘Applications’ box. It will be below your original application.

If you were successfully awarded a loan, you should have received a payment schedule from the Student Loan Company. If you have not yet received this please contact Student Loans Company directly. Please note that SAAS do not issue Student Loan payments.
