Leaving a legacy is a very personal and generous way to show your support for UHI. Whilst still looking after your needs and those of your family, you can extend your charitable giving to the university beyond your lifetime.
Legacy gifts are incredibly powerful. By making a gift in your Will to UHI, you are supporting the transformation of education in the Highlands and Islands long into the future.
Making a Will
Your solicitor will be best placed to advise on the wording for your Will. If you have already made a Will, it is sensible to review it regularly. You can include a legacy to the 'University of the Highlands and Islands' (Scottish Charity No. SC022228) with a simple addition or codicil. To ensure that your gift will always remain useful, we recommend including a paragraph which will allow flexibility in the future.
