Overview

The Knowledge Exchange (KE) Challenge Fund aims to:

  • Support business- and social enterprise-led challenges by connecting them with university expertise across a range of sectors.
  • Strengthen engagement between the university and innovative local businesses.
  • Encourage collaborative projects across the UHI partnership.

Eligible activities

The fund supports a wide range of initiatives, including:

  • Feasibility studies or pilot projects for new business-led products, services, or processes.
  • Activities that increase both the demand for and the quality of business engagement with university services.
  • Projects that drive meaningful improvements in how entrepreneurial opportunities are promoted and delivered to students, university staff, and businesses.
  • Initiatives focused on research commercialisation.
Eligible costs content

Eligible costs

Funding can be used to cover:

  • Travel and subsistence
  • UHI staff time
  • Meeting and workshop-related costs
