Overview
The Knowledge Exchange (KE) Challenge Fund aims to:
- Support business- and social enterprise-led challenges by connecting them with university expertise across a range of sectors.
- Strengthen engagement between the university and innovative local businesses.
- Encourage collaborative projects across the UHI partnership.
Eligible activities
The fund supports a wide range of initiatives, including:
- Feasibility studies or pilot projects for new business-led products, services, or processes.
- Activities that increase both the demand for and the quality of business engagement with university services.
- Projects that drive meaningful improvements in how entrepreneurial opportunities are promoted and delivered to students, university staff, and businesses.
- Initiatives focused on research commercialisation.
Eligible costs
Funding can be used to cover:
- Travel and subsistence
- UHI staff time
- Meeting and workshop-related costs
