The festival team have developed a set of activities reflecting the different courses available across the university’s partnership. Try making your own ‘rocks’ out of crayons, a complex snowflake, see how your lungs work, send a coded message and look at your genetic code.

Studying in the Aircraft Engineering department at UHI Perth will prepare you to meet the ever-growing need for engineers in this innovative and progressive sector. Aeronautical Engineering is a strategically important industry for Scotland with companies such as BAE Systems and Rolls Royce employing people in high skill, high-paying jobs.

Our Aircraft Engineering courses offer a range of academic qualifications. Our staff have specialist knowledge across the breadth of aeronautical disciplines with backgrounds in industry, academia and the armed forces.

We also carry out research and consultancy, previously working with the Force India Formula 1 team. Specialist equipment in classrooms and workshops supports teaching through practical activities. We have a functional aeronautical hangar that is equipped with wind tunnel, flight simulator, light aircraft and aircraft engines.
