Creative Economy

content

Our Creative Economy sector group develops collaboration and interaction with the creative economy sector across the Highlands and Islands. It aims to increase activity in knowledge exchange for the benefit of the communities it serves and the region’s economy, ensuring clear linkage of this to research and teaching.

Creative industries contribute over £100 billion to the UK economy and across the Highlands and Islands area there is a diverse and pro-active community of creative practitioners and businesses engaged in excellent and innovate production. We are keen to work with businesses in the area to achieve even better outcomes and to increase involvement of the local community. We work with those interested in developing business, management and marketing strategies in the arts, heritage and creative industries.

If you are interested in developing your business through innovation, new products, processes and artefacts and to raise profile and performance in the creative economy – please get in touch with us on creative.economy@uhi.ac.uk– we have a range of opportunities and approaches that we can use to support you.
