BSc (Hons) Sport and Fitness, 2019

"Choosing to study a Sport and Fitness degree at UHI Perth was a moment that has changed my life for good. The opportunities, networks and volunteering opportunities that has arisen from this has been tremendous and helped me massively. I graduated from the University of the Highlands and Islands in 2019 with an Honours degree in Sport and Fitness and was also the Undergraduate Student of the Year, undertaking the Student Vote of Thanks at graduation and meeting Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal. Following graduation, I carried out an internship at UHI Perth as a Campus Cycle Officer.

During my time at UHI Perth, I continually worked within the leisure sector at a local sports centre, volunteered with my local active schools team and worked as a Sport and Fitness Ambassador. I am currently studying MSc in Sport Management at the University of Stirling. Due to the current COVID-19 circumstances, remote and home learning have been implemented. However, during my time at Perth, having been taught on a blended learning programme, this transition period has come easy to me.

Current and future students, enjoy your time at university and grab every opportunity that comes your way. The level of pass that you want to achieve determines on the amount of effort that you are willing to put in."
