Paid opportunities for men in atypical subject areas

We are working together to address barriers faced by men in atypical subjects (eg. Nursing; Social Care; Early Years; Hair & Beauty). We have an exciting opportunity for 7x men students to take up student champions positions over 2021.

By getting involved, you will gain industry contacts, experience, practical skills and valuable evidence for your CV, as well as helping other men in your subject area to express and overcome barriers, and making a bit of extra money!

Your tutors can advise and support you with events that you wish to put on and goals you would like to achieve, as can the university Equality and Diversity Advisor.  Staff champions can share their expertise with the team to drive our work forward, and help us lead the way in facilitating gender equality in all subject areas

If you are a man studying Nursing; Childcare / Early Years; Health / Social Care; Hairdressing; Beauty  Therapy; Complementary Therapies; Psychology we would love to hear from you!  Please review the full role description, privacy notice and complete our online application form to apply.
